Scripture at church

John MaClean writes:
The last generation has seen an encouraging resurgence of textual-expository preaching and an enthusiasm for small group Bible study. But we’ve lost something as well! We fret that people don’t read their Bible’s, but we don’t read them much when we get together, so people are simply following the example of church!

It gave me something to ponder on this morning.

That's so true... Or the discussion about the Bible barely touches on how it impacts people's lives. We've become so adept at 'unpacking' 말씀 that we barely scratch the surface about how it impacts us personally because it's too embarassing to admit and possibly because we're afraid to be vulnerable around others.
