Grace, lust, and legalism

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.
- Titus 2:11-14

From this passage, Gordon (and his friend, Mike) links grace with our struggle against lust.

[Update: added the link to Gordon's post. I forgot about that before.]

This is my favourite passage of the Bible (Tit. 2:11-12). Yes, we CAN so 'No' to sin, despite all the lies of the Devil and our sin which says we have no choice in what we do! This verse helped keep me Christian (still does) and rescued me out of some really dark places.
